The Beauty of BECCA Soft Light Blurring Powder in Golden Hour - Makeup and Beauty Blog
I read most this guy somewhere a while back who said that he brutal in love with And then MANY ladies on Instagram because of the Valencia filter…
Y'all know, I can't arraign him, because that Valencia filter? Damn. Wow. It's like the most glamorous, flattering calorie-free ever.
I can haz my own Valencia personal filter??
That's sort of the idea behind the new $38 BECCA Soft Light Blurring Powder in Golden 60 minutes — that's information technology's a portable, personal 24/7 photo filter.
Is it really transparent?
Information technology'southward part of BECCA'southward spring collection, and the result is supposed to be like basking in buttery, perfect twilight (merely not the kind starring Edward and Bella). The 0.35-oz. jar is available now in BECCA's permanent collection.
It's a luminous loose powder with a satin finish that blurs pores and scatters lite. BECCA calls the color transparent, just some folks say that they can come across a peachy tint on very light and very deep skin. I similar the way it works on my NC42 tan, but that's something to continue in heed.
Marvelous for minimalist skin looks
I similar sheer foundation, now more than ever, and I love tinted moisturizer. I love going out with just a little chip of luminous primer like BECCA Backlight on my pare and a compression of powder to cut down the shine. If you similar that as well, check out this powder.
It looks bangin' on simple skin looks and always so slightly blurs pores so that your skin doesn't look fake.
It also doesn't look like pulverisation when you wear it… Just let me clarify that. It doesn't wait like powder when you lot wear it with minimal pare looks. In fact, I can't see it at all — not in my lines — and it totally keeps my oily areas under wraps (the eye of my forehead, on my nose and on my chin). It controls oil like a mo-fo.
Just if you're looking for a powder to set full-coverage foundation with…
It starts to look obvious. I can meet it, and so I don't think it layers well with total-coverage makeup. It starts looking shiny and heavy, and I'yard merely not into it, especially with full-coverage matte foundation and heavier makeup looks, or when I'one thousand doing intense concealing on my cheeks and around my mouth.
The final verdict
I like this. It'south good stuff, but only for a very specific (minimal makeup) look. I wouldn't become there if you lot're into full-coverage foundation or have coloring that'due south very off-white or deep.
Your friendly neighborhood dazzler addict,
Karen
